Community Outreach

At Maisha Girls Safe House, one of our primary responsibilities is to provide a safe and protective environment for survivors of sexual violence while actively advocating for girls’ rights across Kenya. Our commitment extends to combating sexual violence against girls and young women, ensuring they receive the support and protection they deserve.

As part of our ongoing community outreach and advocacy, we are currently implementing four key projects within Nairobi’s Kamukunji, Starehe, Mathare, and Makadara Sub-Counties. These projects are focused on raising awareness and educating local communities about sexual violence, sexual exploitation, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). By engaging with these communities, MGSH aims to increase awareness, reduce abuse, and create a safer and more supportive environment for girls and young women.
