Exciting Visit from the Global Commission on Human Trafficking!
The Global Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, led by Theresa May, paid a visit to Maisha Girls Safe House in June, 2024. This visit highlightsed the critical importance of MGHS’ mission to support and empower young survivors of human trafficking and sexual violence.
During the visit, Theresa May and the commission members toured our facilities, met with the courageous girls in our care, and engaged in insightful discussions about the challenges and triumphs we face in our daily work. Their support and global perspective provide invaluable encouragement as we continue our efforts to create a safe and nurturing environment for our girls.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Global Commission on Human Trafficking for recognizing our work and standing with us in the fight against human trafficking. Together, we are making strides towards a safer, more just world for all.
